| We offer a weekly yoga class every Sunday from 12:30 - 1:30 pm free of charge (by donation only) taught by Britten Bolenbaugh. The class meets in the shrine room and will focus on hatha yoga postures. This class is designed for beginners, as well as advanced practitioners. Wear loose comfortable clothes and bring a yoga (sticky) mat.
Class Description: The first two or three yoga classes will be in the yoga style of Hatha (combination beginners level). This will allow everyone of every level to learn proper breath (oojai/ujjayi breathing) and poses - slow paced and non-stressful. Beginning on the third or fourth class I will move into Vinyasa (combination all levels)style yoga which will be faster paced that Hatha incorporating sun salutation, a variety of poses and balances. I will show poses and balances for many different levels so all will be challenged and comfortable. During Vinyasa we will focus on breath, deliberate movements into poses, holding poses, proper body alignment (to prevent any injury) and building together a class allowing for all levels to find their own way for that day.
