Come Celebrate 20 Years of the Rime Center

Rime20thJoin us as we celebrate 20 years of the Rime Center in Kansas City.  Come early and help kick off the party with Lama Chuck and Mary.

There will be an open house beginning a 4:30 pm with live music from Cachecanto, featuring Rime member Thomas Nelson. Children of all ages will have fun creating sidewalk chalk art and making prayer flags. Potluck dinner starts at 6:00 pm, in true Rime Center fashion!

There will be a special ceremony honoring Lama Chuck and Mary as this year marks two decades of their dedication to spreading the dharma and cultivating a compassionate community in Kansas City.

In the twenty years since, the Rime Buddhist Center & Institute of Tibetan Studies began we have hosted a great number of teachers from a diverse array of Buddhist traditions.  Over the years, spiritual seekers and practitioners have studied, meditated, volunteered and found a most welcoming spiritual community in Kansas City. You won’t want to miss this event 20 years in the making, so mark your calendars and plan to join with the members of the Rime Center for this historic event.
