…for as long as space endures, and for as long as living beings remain;
until then way we too abide to dispel the misery of the world.
The four boundless attitudes —lovingkindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity— guide or practice of sangha care. Sangha care is offered to members and friends of the Rime Center at times of illness, grief, hardship, and spiritual and emotional distress.
Among other things, sangha care includes:
- Home and hospital visits for the sick and dying
- Spiritual support (meditation, sadhana practice, tonglen)
- Caring presence and listening
Sangha Care is available to all, free of charge. Care is provided by Lama Matthew Rice (Spiritual Director), Chaplain Sergio Moreno (Sangha Care Coordinator), and Rime Service Guild members. The Rime Center does not provide financial support.
