Lama Matthew Palden Gocha will be offering both a spirit offering and smoke offering during the Sunday Service November 8th. We will be making offerings to help establish auspicious connections for the Rime Center’s Wayne Ave location.
This event will be online using Zoom, but as an outside practice we are offering a few limited spots if you would like to attend in person. Please fill out the registration below if you would like to attend in person. Register online.
According to Lama Lena, “Through the Tibetan tradition of spirit offerings and sang (incense smoke), we practice generosity of the body, energy, and mind by giving the very best we have to offer to all the beings that live alongside us. Making offerings can empower our practice by accumulating positive energy, helping to heal nature, and removing natural obstacles. Sang allows us to cultivate generosity towards all classes of beings in the Buddhist pantheon – from the buddhas and bodhisattvas to gods, demons, and hungry ghosts.” Learn more about spirit offerings from Lama Lena.
