Compassion in Action: Community Blood Drive

November 15–21, 2026

Give Blood. Save Lives. Put Compassion into Action.

Hosted by the Rime Buddhist Center in partnership with Community Blood Center of Kansas City

Compassion is more than something we feel—it is something we do. This November, the Rime Buddhist Center invites our sangha, friends, and neighbors to turn compassion into action by giving the gift of life.

In partnership with Community Blood Center of Kansas City, we are hosting a weeklong community blood drive. Rather than gathering at a single location, participants can donate at any of Community Blood Center’s seven donor centers throughout the Kansas City area.

A single blood donation can help save up to three lives. For someone facing surgery, recovering from an accident, or undergoing medical treatment, your generosity could make all the difference.

How to Participate

Giving blood is simple, and every donation matters!

  1. Schedule your appointment. Choose any Community Blood Center donor location during November 15–21.
  2. Make your donation. Visit your selected donor center at your scheduled time.
  3. Support the Rime Center’s blood drive. Provide our group code, EX21, when you donate so your gift counts toward our community effort.

Appointments can be scheduled online at https://www.savealifenow.org/ or by calling Dawn at (816) 352-2342.
