We will be exploring the rich repository of Buddhist Sutras. We will be studying the Sūtra on Self-Examination. In this teaching, the Buddha elucidates how attachment arises from perceiving sights, sounds, and thoughts as permanent, pleasurable, and inherently “self.” Conversely, by recognizing their true nature—impermanent, conducive to suffering, non-self, and perilous—we can relinquish craving and attain liberation from suffering.
