As the Rimé Buddhist Center prepares for its next chapter and the transition to our future home in Northmoor, all programs will be offered online throughout the month, beginning July 12th.
Although our location is changing, our practice continues. Sunday Services, classes, meditation sessions, and other scheduled programs will meet online while we complete this exciting transition. We are grateful for your patience and support as we take this important step toward a larger, more accessible home for the Dharma in Kansas City.
This Sunday service and Dharma talk was going to be entitled “Bringing your practice onto your path”. So as a Sangha, we will be practicing Karma yoga and in lieu of our traditional Sunday service. We will be packing up the Wayne Avenue house. Please come and help us out. I hope y’all can join us.
We are pleased to share a significant milestone in the history of the Rimé Buddhist Center. Our offer to purchase the property located at 2015 NW 50th Street in Northmoor, Missouri, has been accepted.
After years of growth and careful consideration, this opportunity provides a path toward a facility that better supports our mission of teaching, practicing, and sharing the Dharma throughout the Kansas City community. Continue reading

The Rime Center is entering an exciting new phase. We have submitted an offer on the Northmoor building and are now preparing the Rime Sangha House for sale. To make this transition possible, we need your help.
A storage pod will arrive on July 1, and our goal is to have everything packed and moved into the pod by July 8 so our real estate agent can list the property by July 10.
We will be packing and moving boxes during the following times:
Whether you can help for an hour or several hours, your support will make a tremendous difference. The Rime Center has always been built through the generosity and dedication of our sangha, and this move is another opportunity for us to work together in service of the Dharma.
If you are able to volunteer, please let us know. Many hands make light work, and we would be deeply grateful for your help as we prepare for the next chapter of the Rime Center’s journey.

Due to the tornado watch and the potential for severe weather in our area, we have decided to postpone tonight’s Meditation Program out of an abundance of caution.
Our Basics of Buddhism class will still meet this evening, but it will be held online only. Registered students will receive the Zoom link and meeting information by email.
The safety of our community is our highest priority, and we encourage everyone to stay safe this evening.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to practicing together online and seeing everyone again soon.
