Upcoming Special Event: Bodhi Day – Online Puja

The Rime Center will be hosting a special online puja to commemorate Bodhi Day. It is the Buddhist holiday that commemorates the day that Shakyamuni Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment, also known as bodhi in Sanskrit and Pali. Bodhi Day is observed in many mainstream Mahayana traditions. Register in advance for this event to get the Zoom link.

Interested in becoming an official member of the Rime Center? Beginning Wednesday December 7th, join us at 7:45 pm for our membership class. Upon completion of the classes, students are inducted as new members of the Rime Center sangha and are given a mala personally blessed by H.H. Dalai Lama. This event will be in-person and online. Letter of Solidarity for the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City and the Kansas City Raindrop Foundation
On October 21,2022, the offices and community center of the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City and Kansas City Raindrop Foundation, was the target of vandalism. Three teenage vandals broke in through a window and ransacked the building leaving a swastika, the anarchy symbol and obscene phrases scrawled across walls. On Nov 10, 2022 Lama Matt and other community leaders came together to stand in solidarity with the Dialogue Institute and Raindrop against this act of hate. Lama Matt read the following statement at the event.
