Traditional Music Society’s World Music and Dance Showcase

Join the Rime Sangha Saturday September 24th as we attend this year’s World Music and Dance Showcase presented by the Traditional Music Society. The event will be at St. Mark Hope and Peace Lutheran Church. The event is free and open to the public.

This year they will have, as their special guest artist, Gerald Trimble. Mr. Trimble brings with him years of musical experiences, spanning several genres … Irish folk, jazz, baroque, Indian and classical. He will be performing with his group Jambaroque. In addition they will feature prominent flamenco dancer extraordinaire Tamara Carlson and her amazing Flamenco dance ensemble Ole! Read more.

Rime Sangha Hike – Tallgrass Prairie National Reserve

October 15, 2021 @ 11am

The Rime Sangha will conclude with a final hike at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve on Saturday October 15th. It will be an all day outing since the park is about a two hour drive from Kansas City. The carpool to the Tallgrass Prairie will leave at 9 am from the Rime Center and should get us to the park around 11am. If you are planning to carpool please email Gabi. Read more.

Rime Sangha Hike – Overland Park Arboretum

The Rime Sangha will be meeting up at the Overland Park Arboretum on Saturday July 16th at 10am for a socially distant hike through the park. We will be hiking the Overland Park West, Rocky Ridge and Cottonwood Trail Loop. It is a 3.20 mile, loop trail near Stilwell, Kansas. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 25 min to complete. For those wishing too carpool to the hike meet at the Rime Center by 9am.
